Howlett's April 2010

Here is a photo gallery taken by Joseph and George during a visit to Howlett's.

 Canadian Timber wolf

Eurasian Robin

African Elephant

Gorilla

Red Admiral
This butterfly should not be here. It usually migrates into the UK around the beginning of May. Aristocratic butterflies such as Purple Emperor and Camberwell Beauty sometimes overwinter in England. Although the Red Admiral is an Aristocrat, it cannot survive the winter here. This specimen is a ragged individual who has possibly spent the cold months tucked up somewhere warm like the gorilla house. Otherwise it could not have survived the harsh weather we had this year.

Ocelot

Tiger

Python

Colobus Monkey
